I think Doug might not have succeeded if Charlie hadn't been there because Charlie kind of led the way, which I think gave Doug courage to follow. So no, I don't think he would have succeeded.
I don't think Doug would have succeeded without Charlie is because Charlie led the way through narrow path to the wide path and Doug learned a tip to stay next to the rock, but not to touch it. Also Doug was scared of the narrow path so Doug never would of succeeded without Charlie.
i don't think that Doug would have succeeded because the cougar showed him how to walk on the ledge and the cougar gave him courage to go on. He also showed the way.
I think Doug might have not succeeded if Charlie hadn't been there because Charlie gave Doug the courage to do it. He also depended on Charlie because Charlie led the way. No, I don't think Doug would have succeeded if he had not run into Charlie. - Kiran
I think Doug would not have succeeded is Charlie hadn't been there because Charlie knew where to go, and since Doug trusted Charlie, he followed and went on. I also think that if Charlie hadn't been there Doug wouldn't have continued because Charlie kind of showed Doug how to walk swiftly and smoothly on the cliff. To sum it up, I don't think Doug would have continued if Charlie hadn't been there.
I think Doug will not have found his way to the top. Charlie basically led the whole way except for the first quarter. This is why I think Doug couldn't have found his way to the top if it was not for Charlie.
No, I don't think so. More than half of the time, Doug was scared to go on, but when the cougar,Charlie, came, he seemed happy, and the cougar wasn't very scared of the Fear Place, giving Doug lots of courage and confidence to go on.
I think that Doug would not have succeeded if the cougar was not there, because Charlie showed Doug to be cautious and gave him the courage he needed to go on. The cougar also kind of led the way and let the boy follow her over the “fear place.”
Yes i think Doug would succeeded without Charlie. this is because according to what I read he had gone across his fear place before. Also he wanted to find Gordie so he would have gone across anyway. Plus Charlie scared him half to death so Doug would probably be less nervous without Charlie. So I definitely think Doug could have succeeded without charlie.
I don’t think Doug would have succeeded if Charlie wasn’t there, because I think Charlie smelled Doug’s sent and wanted to help him by leading him. When Charlie led him he had more courage, because he knew a friend was near. No, I don’t think Doug would have succeeded without Charlie
I think Doug might still succeed if Charlie wasnt there because Doug knew he had to get past his fear place no matter what to save his brother and find his parents. If Charlie wasnt there though, I think it would have taken him way longer to find the courage to walk on the ledge
I don’t think that Doug would have succeeded if Charlie the Cougar wasn’t there. Charlie was one to lead the way over Doug’s fear place. I felt he kind of was a place holder for the rest of Doug’s family to give Doug support while he went through the fear place. He also let know that Doug had passed his “Fear Place.” I don’t that Doug would have been able to go through his fear place.
I didn't think Doug would had maked it all the way if he knew he was just climbing up there with no goal. The cougar gave Doug pride to climb up there. So he would not succeed if he was just climbing up for no reason.
I don’t think that Doug would have made across without the cougar. Charlie was like a tour guide and showed Doug how to make it across. Even if Doug befriended Charlie, Charlie might not have come because I think that Charlie has a den and might have to take care of her cubs. Charlie even made sure that Douvg was safe. Doug wouldn't have the courage to make it across his "fear place".
I do NOT Doug would have made it through his Fear Place without Charlie's help. Charlie the cougar led the way. The story also mentions that she showed Doug how to walk on the path. All in all, I don't think Doug would have made it through the Fear Place without Charlie's help. -Elaine Fan #6 (sorry if it says I'm Fizzie 246 because that's the name of my google account.)
I don't think that Doug would have made it across if it wasn't for Charlie.Charlie led him across the fear place, and he showed Doug how to inch slowly and carefully. Doug probably wouldn't have succeeded if it wasn't for Charlie.
I don’t think Doug would’ve succeeded if the cougar wasn’t there. He probably would’ve gotten too scared and frustrated. The cougar showed him an easier way to the top. The cougar also showed him how to hug the cliff side so he wouldn’t fall off the edge.
I think that Doug would have made it across even without Charlie's help. Doug was determined to find his brother and his parents. He probably would have found some courage to make it across the narrow cliff even without Charlie's help. In the story, Doug also mentions that Charlie made him nervous. Doug was worried about his brother and eventually would have found some way to make it across the cliff to rescue his brother. Charlie probably distracted him from focusing on making across the narrow cliff.
I dont think Doug would have succeded with out Charlie the couger because Charlie led the way and also gave Doug courage to climb his fear place. That is why I think Doug would not climb his fear place with out charlie
I think that Doug would have made it across the ridge without Charlie, but it would have taken longer. One reason is that Charlie showed him how to walk across the ledge. Without Charlie he would have taken longer to get a cross the ledge because he would have to take a while to think of the best way across the ridge. Also, Charlie was very calm and it calmed Doug so he wasn’t agitated and he crossed the ridge faster
No, I don't think Doug would have succeeded if the cougar wasn't there. I think this because the cougar gave him courage and she also showed him how to walk across the ledge. Without Charlie he could have become nervous and fall.

No Doug did not know the way to the top. He might have got lost or run into a dead end. This is why i think that Doug relied on Charlie.

No because Charlie, the cougar, led the way so it was easier.

I don't think so. Charlie guided Doug throughout the whole process and without her he probably would've been overcome with fear and then turned back.

I would have enjoyed the hike because I would have liked the adventure in it.
